Electro-Pneumatic Test Bench

The electro-pneumatic test bench was developed in-house by the brehmergroup lab. Brian Schmidt designed and completed the test bench in coordination with our laboratory manager Sebastian Sohn. The test bench allows endurance tests to be conducted on buttons and / or switches exposed to the environment. The actuating force and angle are adjustable. Due to the ability to control the individual cylinders separately, it is possible to program custom test procedures. The controllers are cascadable, which allowed up to 120 test specimens to be controlled in any order by a single test program.

Temperature
The test bench described here can be used in a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C.

Actuating force
The force transferred by each of the pneumatic cylinders can be set to any value within a wide range by applying air pressure. Contact between the cylinder head and the test specimen is made using a screw-mounted attachment that can be adjusted according to the particular test requirements.

Abgle of activation
The cylinders can be mounted at various angles to create the most realistic test conditions possible. The outer construction acts as a 3-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system in which the cylinders and test specimens can be aligned with each other. Please download the data sheet.
