Florian Alt shines at the Euro-Moto finale in Hockenheim

Florian Alt:

"Two podium finishes at the season finale in Hockenheim. On top of that, the fastest race lap ever recorded here is now in the history books. I’m incredibly proud of that, because the competition was stronger than ever this year and the racing faster than ever before.

Thank you to Honda and HRC for this bike. Thank you to my team, who never stopped working, even on the days when it hurt. Thank you to my family and my friends. And thank you to my wife, who stands by me through everything – the good and the difficult times.

The season got off to a difficult start, and at the Sachsenring we simply didn’t have the performance. In Oschersleben, we dominated everything on Friday, only to be taken out of the championship on Sunday. That was a bitter pill to swallow. After that, we fought our way back step by step. This finale is our answer to it all.

And thank you to all of you fans. We’ve never experienced an atmosphere like this in Hockenheim before – you could feel it on every single lap. The pictures speak for themselves."
