Visit from the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA)

Audit to extend the initial assessment in accordance with ECE R148.

Today, we welcomed the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) to our premises. As part of the extension of our existing initial assessment, an audit was carried out to include daytime running lights in accordance with Regulation ECE R148.

The review represents an important milestone in the further development of our product portfolio. The aim is to officially demonstrate the conformity and quality of our daytime running lights and thus integrate new requirements into our existing assessment system.

The audit took place in a constructive and professional atmosphere. Initial feedback was predominantly positive. A few minor issues were identified, which will now be addressed and implemented accordingly in the next step. We see this as an opportunity to further optimise our processes and develop them to a high standard, says Dr. Martin Schmitz, Managing Director of LED-Tec.
